Account Security & Two-Factor Authentication
Learn how SingleBuck protects your account, why Two-Factor Authentication matters, and how to set up stronger login protection for sensitive areas of your account.
Security is built into SingleBuck
Some areas of your SingleBuck account can control important services such as your hosting, website access, documents, billing details, and account settings. Because of that, we require stronger verification before allowing access to sensitive tools.
Secure Your Account in 4 Steps
Sign in to My Account
Access your SingleBuck account and open the Security section from your dashboard.
Choose your security method
Set up Two-Factor Authentication using an authenticator app, passkey, biometric login, or another supported method shown in your account.
Confirm your setup
Complete the verification step before leaving the page so your security method is fully connected and saved.
Use 2FA when required
After setup, SingleBuck may ask for extra verification before opening sensitive areas such as your hosting panel or account security settings.
What is Two-Factor Authentication?
Two-Factor Authentication, often called 2FA, is an extra layer of protection for your account. Instead of relying only on your password, 2FA requires a second step to confirm that it is really you.
This second step may be a temporary code from an authenticator app, a passkey, your device’s biometric security, or another approved verification method.
Password only
If someone steals or guesses your password, they may be able to access your account.
Password + 2FA
Even if someone gets your password, they still need your second verification method to continue.
Why 2FA Matters
Passwords can be leaked, reused, guessed, or stolen through phishing. 2FA helps protect your account even when a password is no longer enough.
- Helps prevent unauthorized account access
- Protects sensitive hosting and website tools
- Adds a second confirmation before important actions
- Reduces the risk from stolen or reused passwords
Authenticator Apps
An authenticator app creates a temporary login code on your phone or device. These codes usually change every 30 seconds.
- Google Authenticator
- Microsoft Authenticator
- 2FAS Authenticator
- Authy
- Bitwarden Authenticator
Where to Get an Authenticator App
You can download an authenticator app from your device’s official app store.
- iPhone or iPad: use the Apple App Store
- Android devices: use Google Play
- Search for a trusted authenticator app by name
- Avoid downloading security apps from unknown websites
Passkeys & Biometrics
Passkeys allow you to sign in using secure device-based verification, such as your fingerprint, face recognition, screen lock, or security key.
- Can be easier than typing codes
- Uses your device’s built-in security
- May support Face ID, Touch ID, Windows Hello, or similar tools
- Helps protect against phishing-style login attacks
Backup Codes
Backup codes may help you regain access if you lose your phone or cannot use your usual 2FA method.
- Save backup codes in a safe place
- Do not store them publicly or share them with others
- Each backup code may only work once
- Generate new codes if you believe they were exposed
Common Threats 2FA Helps Reduce
2FA helps protect against several common account attacks that affect websites, email, and online services.
- Phishing emails and fake login pages
- Stolen passwords from other websites
- Password guessing attempts
- Unauthorized access to sensitive account areas
Why SingleBuck Requires Extra Verification
At SingleBuck, some tools can affect your website, hosting account, email services, billing records, support access, or security settings. These areas deserve stronger protection than a password alone.
Requiring 2FA for sensitive areas helps protect you, your website, your business, and the services connected to your account.
How to Set Up 2FA
Select a 2FA method
Choose the available method you want to use, such as an authenticator app or passkey.
Scan or enter the setup key
If using an authenticator app, scan the QR code or manually enter the setup key into your app.
Enter your verification code
Type the temporary code from your app or complete the device verification step.
Save backup codes
If backup codes are provided, store them somewhere safe before closing the page.
Confirm it is active
Make sure your account shows that your security method is enabled before leaving the page.
2FA Questions
Do I need 2FA every time I use SingleBuck?
Not always. SingleBuck may require extra verification when signing in, opening sensitive tools, changing security settings, or accessing protected areas such as hosting controls.
What if I lose my phone?
If you saved backup codes, you may be able to use one to regain access. If you cannot access your account, contact SingleBuck support for help verifying your account ownership.
Can I turn 2FA off?
Some security options may be managed from your account, but SingleBuck may still require stronger verification for sensitive services. This helps protect accounts from unauthorized access.
Which authenticator app should I use?
You can use a trusted authenticator app from your official app store. Popular options include Google Authenticator, Microsoft Authenticator, 2FAS, Authy, and Bitwarden Authenticator.
Recommended: Enable 2FA Early
We strongly recommend enabling Two-Factor Authentication as part of your first account setup. It only takes a few minutes and adds meaningful protection to your SingleBuck account.
