Installation Guide

Install ClassiCore Lite or ClassiCore Pro, complete the recommended setup, and prepare your platform for members, moderation, branding, and commercial use.

Back up before you begin. Installation and upgrades should be completed by a WordPress administrator. Create a current database and file backup before installing ClassiCore, replacing Lite with Pro, changing themes, or adding commercial dependencies.

Install ClassiCore with confidence

These instructions are written for ordinary WordPress administrators. You do not need command-line access, but you do need permission to install plugins and themes.

ClassiCore Lite is the free personals edition. ClassiCore Pro is the commercial platform edition for personals, classifieds, rentals, monetization, licensing, and advanced platform ownership.

Before you begin

  • Administrator access: You must be able to install and activate WordPress plugins.
  • A current backup: Back up the database and website files.
  • A compatible WordPress site: Use a current WordPress version and supported PHP environment.
  • The correct package: Use the official Lite ZIP or the Pro ZIP supplied through SingleBuck.

Safe installation habits

  • Keep the downloaded plugin file zipped.
  • Install major updates on a staging site when possible.
  • Do not activate Lite and Pro at the same time.
  • Test registration, login, profile creation, and messaging after installation.
Important: Do not install Lite and Pro as two separate active ClassiCore plugins. Pro replaces the Lite edition while preserving the platform data stored by WordPress.
1. Choose your edition

Which version should you install?

6. Troubleshooting

Installation troubleshooting

These are the first checks to make when WordPress does not install or activate ClassiCore as expected.

The ZIP will not install

  • Confirm you uploaded the plugin ZIP and not an outer download folder.
  • Check the server upload limit and available disk space.
  • Confirm the ZIP was not corrupted during download.
  • Try downloading a fresh copy from the official source.

Activation causes an error

  • Confirm the website meets the supported WordPress and PHP requirements.
  • Temporarily disable conflicting plugins and test again.
  • Check the WordPress debug log or hosting error log.
  • Restore the backup if the website becomes inaccessible.

The ClassiCore menu is missing

  • Confirm the plugin is active.
  • Confirm you are signed in as an administrator.
  • Refresh the WordPress administration area.
  • Check whether an admin-menu or role-management plugin is hiding the menu.

Pro does not recognize the license

  • Re-enter the license exactly as supplied.
  • Confirm the license is assigned to the correct website.
  • Check that the website can make outbound HTTPS requests.
  • Contact SingleBuck support with the site URL and license order details.
Still stuck? Use the ClassiCore Knowledge Base or contact SingleBuck support with the WordPress version, PHP version, ClassiCore edition, and the exact error shown.
